About
I'll keep this short.
I've survived over 400 employee meetings, developed leaders at every level, and built organizations to their highest value before every sale. That's not an accident. It's by design. Because when I walk in, I see the challenges, the successes, and the people charged with making it all happen.
Growing up in Atlantic Canada, in a family of builders, in a house with eight siblings, taught me early that hard work, resilience and a good sense of humour weren’t optional. My grandfathers built ships. My father shaped homes. My mother orchestrated controlled chaos like a seasoned CEO.
Families don’t forget their roots. Businesses need to remember theirs too. It’s tempting to reach for the next shiny thing before the basics are actually in place. When the foundation is solid, it shows up in the numbers.
Looking for a business solution of my own, there were two options: the big firms, or individual consultants. Not much in between. That gap is why HR Navigate exists.
Something that gives small and mid-sized businesses the strategic support they need, without having to already be a big business to deserve it.
Why HR Navigate Exists
I’ve watched too many good businesses lose good people over problems that were entirely preventable: a policy nobody explained, a manager who was never taught how to lead, a culture issue nobody named out loud. Most of that is fixable, if someone actually takes the time to look. That’s the work I care about most.
