What's included

Practical support, where it's actually needed

We shape the engagement around your situation — here’s the ground we typically cover.

Health & Safety programs

Road to Compliance language

Compliance & audit readiness

Knowing where you stand against the legislation that applies to you — before someone else checks.

HR foundations

The structure underneath the business — clear enough to scale, simple enough that people use it.

Talent selection & management

Better hiring decisions and stronger role fit — so you’re not solving the same problem again in six months.

Day-to-day HR guidance

Someone experienced to call when a situation comes up and you’d rather not guess.

Support through change

Extra senior capacity when something significant is happening and the stakes are higher than usual.

Sound familiar?

You know something needs attention. You're just not sure what.

Nobody owns HR or Health & Safety, so it lands on whoever has time that week.

An audit or client review is coming and you're not confident you'd pass it cleanly.

The company has grown, but the people processes never grew with it.

You've spent real money on policies nobody follows or even remembers.

A full-time HR leader is more than you need — but no support is clearly less.

You need someone who understands technical and regulated environments, not generic HR.

If any of that lands, you're in the right place.

How it works

We start by understanding, not selling

When someone tells us they need a policy handbook, our first question is why. Usually there’s a different problem sitting ten steps back — and we’d rather tell you that than take the money and write the handbook.

01

Understand

We listen, ask questions, and take the time to understand your business, your people, and the realities shaping your decisions.

02

Advise

We help you interpret what you're seeing, identify what matters most, and navigate the challenges with practical insight.

03

Support

Ongoing partnership, project delivery, or experienced capacity alongside your team — whichever fits.

The challenge

Placeholder copy. A team of engineers in a highly regulated environment needed a safety program launched properly — with no room for it to be treated as a paperwork exercise.

What we did

Placeholder copy. We assessed the existing state, designed the program around how the team actually works, and supported the rollout rather than handing over a document.

Questions

Common questions about HR & Safety Advisory

How is this different from hiring a full-time HR manager?

You get senior-level judgement without the senior-level salary. A full-time manager makes sense once the volume of work justifies it — before that point, most organizations end up either overpaying for capacity they don't use, or hiring someone junior into a role that really needs experience. We fill that gap, and we'll tell you honestly when you've outgrown us.

Both. Some clients work with us on a monthly partnership for ongoing support and guidance. Others bring us in for a defined project — a safety program launch, a compliance review, support through a period of change — with a clear beginning and end. We'll recommend whichever genuinely fits your situation.

It's not required, but it's where most organizations start. It's a flat-rate assessment of your culture, safety and compliance that shows you exactly where the gaps are — so any work that follows is based on evidence rather than assumption. If you already know what you need, we can go straight there.

Our compliance work is grounded in Ontario legislation, and that's where the majority of our clients are based. Advisory, leadership and culture work travels more easily. If you're outside Ontario, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit or point you toward someone who is.

Then we'll say so, and where we can we'll point you to someone who does. We don't do recruiting or compensation work, for example — but we know people who do it well. Sending you to the right person is better business than taking on work we're not the best choice for.
