A growing Canadian medical technology manufacturer had reached an important milestone. Their people had absorbed a lot of change and a lot of workload. Leadership realized it was time to look at how the organization was working, and to build for what was coming next.
The business was performing. What leadership wanted was to understand what was happening underneath it before deciding where to go next.
They were capable. What they needed was access to senior knowledge when they needed it, not a full-time hire, and someone who would help them put the work into practice rather than hand them a plan.
It started with strategy, then culture. From there, leadership development and training, and identifying, developing and grooming the next layer of leadership.
Much of this work was done with a leader who had taken on responsibility for people alongside an existing portfolio. Her openness and appetite for the work moved things faster than any process could, and she now leads the function with real depth and confidence.

Nothing changed overnight. What changed was the way leaders were working together, communicating, making decisions, and supporting one another.
